It costs over £100 a day to keep the Museum open. You can help by making a donation, becoming a Friend, volunteering or leaving us a gift in your will.

Holst Victorian House Unlocked
Cheltenham’s only independent museum has emerged from the pandemic with a new identity and an ambitious new focus. We’re the only historic house in Cheltenham which is open to the public – and of course we have the unique Holst factor. Holst Victorian House Unlocked is a new campaign that seeks to secure the future of the Museum by creating a more authentic Victorian atmosphere and by making the house more accessible to a diverse audience. Ways to best support the Museum:
1. Donate
Make a donation to the Museum. Click on the buttons to donate one of the amounts below, or an amount of your own choosing (min £1). If you are a UK taxpayer you will also be able to gift-aid these donations, giving us £1.25 for every £ you donate.
We are currently seeking funds for a new light reader and tiny tag environmental monitors to maintain our collections for future generations.
2. Become a Friend of the Museum
Support Cheltenham’s Historic House, the Birthplace of a Great Composer.
By becoming a Friend of the Holst Birthplace Trust you are helping to preserve the Museum’s historic building and collections for present and future generations. Your support will also enable the Museum to promote Holst’s legacy to as wide an audience as possible through our learning and events programmes.
In return, our Members enjoy these exclusive benefits:
- Free admission to The Holst Victorian House during opening hours
- Free Newsletter
- Invitation to, and the right to vote at, the Trust’s AGM
- 10% Discount on shop purchases
- Reduced tickets to some events
