Join us in the drawing room at Holst Victorian House to hear Cheltenham born pianist Peter Gill explore the sounds of the jazz age of the 1920s and 1930s.

The songs would have been the soundscape for both Louise Dyer (the Australian-born patron of the Arts featured in our 2024 exhibition) in Paris and Gustav Holst in England.

Expect sample renditions of such iconic tunes as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, Sweet Georgia Brown, Mack the Knife and Georgia on my Mind. Songs which have survived the passage of time and are as fresh today as they were when first heard.

The admission price includes a welcoming drink (alcoholic or non) in the Victorian Kitchen.

Peter earned rave reviews for his previous events with us: Meet Tommy Atkins, Cheltenham at War and The Wit and Songs of Noel Coward.  Don’t miss out on this special evening.  Places are limited.

All proceeds will go towards putting the finishing touches to our Victorian Hallway restoration. If you can’t make the concert you can donate here.
