Access statement

Steps up to the front door of Holst Victorian House, which may restrict accessHolst Victorian House is committed to making its facilities accessible for all visitors. We regret that access may be limited to some areas of the Museum, as it is a Grade II listed building we have been unable to make structural adaptations. The Museum is in a modest Regency house on 4 floors with no lifts and has narrow passageways and stairs. There are also 5 steps up to the front door.

  • There is no parking at the Museum, but a public car park (North Place) is less than 100 metres away.
  • There is a toilet at the Museum, with baby-changing facilities, these are on the basement level.
  • We don’t have the facilities to offer refreshments but there are cafes and restaurants nearby.

Carers are admitted free of charge.
